BLOG: War & Football Crunch

On 23 November 1964, National Security Advisor Walt W. Rostow wrote a memo called "Some Observations As We Come to the Crunch in Southeast Asia," which turned out to be a key document in the escalation of the Vietnam War.

In 1975, the year the Vietnam War ended, ex-Dallas Cowboy Pat Toomay published a memoir called The Crunch.

Just a coincidence?
